"IF is perfect for family movie night. Its premise is imaginative and humorous enough to hold children's attention, while the plot is emotional and nostalgic enough to appeal to adults. The movie is largely a love letter to childhood and imaginary friends, but it also delves lightly into themes of loss and grief. IF is further elevated by heartfelt performances from Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, John Krasinski, and Steve Carell. Although it does suffer from tonal imbalance and a slightly confusing plot, it serves its purpose well as wholesome family entertainment."
