Jurassic Park is based on Michael Crichton’s 1990 novel of the same name, and was adapted for the big screen by beloved director Steven Spielberg. The new trilogy kicked off with Jurassic World, this time helmed by director Colin Trevorrow and featuring an all-new cast including Chris Pratt as ethologist and raptor trainer Owen Grady, and Bryce Dallas Howard as the operations manager of the new park, Claire Dearing. The film also brought back BD Wong as lead geneticist Dr. Henry Wu, who was briefly introduced in the first Jurassic Park. Trevorrow went on to direct Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in 2018, and Jurassic World Dominion in 2022. Dominion brought the franchise full circle, bringing back the original cast in addition to the new members in a triumphant end to the second trilogy.
